About the design:

When I was ill with cancer and undergoing treatment, I painted and made designs when I could. I imagined a man on a boat, with his reflection being the same but eerily different, wearing a hat. The idea was of things being the same but a little off, sort of uncanny, but funny too. Most details in the picture are echoed on the opposite side of the equator.
